Sophie is a seasoned litigator with a focus on corporate crime, compliance, and civil enforcement proceedings. She regularly appears before courts across Germany and is recognized for her strategic approach in high-stakes litigation, working either independently or alongside senior legal teams.
She has represented entities before the Higher Regional Court (Oberlandesgericht) and has served as external counsel to the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). Sophie is also a designated senior prosecutor for the Economic Crime Division within the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Munich.
Sophie holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from the University of Cologne, followed by a Master of International Criminal Law from the University of Göttingen. During her Referendariat, she worked with the German Embassy in Washington, D.C. and an international law firm in Brussels.
She is currently co-chair of the Compliance and Ethics Forum at the German Corporate Counsel Association (BUJ) and a board member of the German Association of White-Collar Crime Lawyers (WisteV). Sophie is also an advocate for legal tech innovation and regularly advises on regulatory trends in corporate investigations.
